Climbing Therapy Happens In Three Distinct Phases:

PREPARE. CLIMB. INTEGRATE.

First, a Preparation Session sets your goals and readies you for the experience.

Next, the Climbing Session uses the wall as a catalyst for discovery and growth.

Finally, an Integration Discussion helps you apply insights to everyday life.

What To Expect with Climbing Therapy

01

PREPARATION SESSION (1hr)

virtual / in-person

We discuss your personal goals, explore specific mental health themes you want to focus on, and determine how we can best support you. We cover essential logistics, including safety protocols, climbing basics for newcomers. This ensures climbing therapy is both purposeful and precisely tailored to your individual needs.

02

CLIMBING SESSION (1-8 hrs)

in-person

Gym sessions are 1.5hrs, outdoors are half day (4hr-5hrs), full day (6-8hrs), or multiple days. The wall is a mirror for life's challenges, helping you build resilience, develop effective coping strategies, and deepen your self-awareness in ways that extend far beyond the gym or the crag. We emphasize process over performance. Success celebrates the heights you reach and the insights you gain.

03

INTEGRATION DISCUSSION (1hr)

virtual / in person

We reflect on the climbing session. You'll further explore the emotions, insights, and challenges that surfaced. We'll identify key takeaways and connect these powerful lessons to your daily life. You solidify your commit to tangible changes that continue long after you've lowered from the wall.
